The Shakespeare Institute Players is the dramatic society for the postgraduate students of the University of Birmingham's Shakespeare Institute, located in Stratford-upon-Avon. We are not a professional company, and we do not give classes in acting, award bursaries, nor are we a stand-alone theatre which takes bookings for other theatre companies.
The Players have been around in different guises since 1951! As this site has been set up to house the archives of the Players, it will always be a work in progress.
On these pages you will find out about our upcoming productions, past productions, and a bit about the people who are or have been members.
Please keep checking back to see our progress and please feel free to drop us a line to say what you think (or if you're a former member, if you have anything you'd like to add).
